Planned Giving with JFCS

"My father, H. Richard Dollinger, created an endowment fund for the Jewish Federation before he died.  He donated much of his time and money to Federation and its agencies during his life, and it deeply moved me to realize his legacy of generosity and commitment to his community would continue after his death.  I created my own endowment fund to set a similar example for my children.  For a modest cost (less than a dollar a day), I established the Jennifer Dollinger-Woods Family Foundation Endowment Fund.  I directed the funds to be used to subsidize support groups and counseling services, which are so crucial in times of crisis."

-Jennifer Dollinger-Woods

A common misconception about planned giving is that you must be wealthy to participate.  In fact, due to tax advantages and estate planning savings, you can actually keep more of your money and be secure in the knowledge that you are helping your community while planning for your own family.

There are many ways to give, such as gifts of cash, securities, or appreciated property, named funds in honor of loved ones; bequests in your will; life income gifts; life insurance, or an endowment of a JFCS program of your choice.  Have you ever wished that you could have your philanthropic goals and personal values passed on to future generations?

With the launch of the JFCS planned giving program, each and every one of us can help ensure that the crucial programs and services of JFCS will be available for our children and our children's children.  It is an incredibly meaningful way to honor or memorialize a loved one, and can be very empowering to your heirs who will not only have the benefit of knowing exactly what your dreams are for the future, but will be inspired by your example.  For more information on how to establish a Planned Gift, please call Beth at 856-424-1333 or email endowments@jfedsnj.org.

"I feel passionately about the issue of hunger and I support the work of the JFCS food pantry.  I want to help ensure that no one in our community ever goes hungry, so I established a general endowment fund to benefit JFCS through a life insurance policy with the Jewish Community Foundation." -Sis Levy
