Volunteer Program
The JFCS Volunteer Program consists of a team of over 165 volunteers who range in age from teenagers to senior citizens. They enrich the lives of our clients, as well as their own lives, through a wide range of volunteer opportunities.
"My volunteer Meals-on-Wheels driver read from the Torah in honor of my 86th birthday during my Aliyah. She has become like a granddaughter to me, and praying on the bimah together is a memory I will carry to my grave."

Volunteer of the Year
JFCS recognizes Paul Stolpen as Volunteer of the Year for his dedicated service. For seven years, he has assisted JFCS by delivering kosher meals, driving seniors to doctors' appointments, delivering challahs to Hospice patients, devoting countless hours to working with the Betsy & Peter Fischer Food Pantry, and conducting outreach, education, and food drives for JFCS at his synagogue, Temple Har Zion.
"I believe it is important to give back to others. Volunteering gives me a sense of internal satisfaction like nothing else does. It makes my life so much more meaningful to help those who are in need." - Paul Stolpen
