Anger Management for Adults

Feeling out of control? Do you feel angry most of the time? Do you want to learn to better handle your emotions? If anger is getting in the way of your every day activities, come and learn how to manage your anger and channel it towards more constructive outlets. A social worker will facilitate the group.

This group is for the unemployed or underemployed. An employment services professional addresses the practical aspects of seeking employment, including interview skills, resume writing, and networking; a social worker offers coping skills and other practical methods to reduce stress and worry.

Holocaust survivors enjoy monthly luncheons, which provide opportunities to socialize and to enjoy shared cultural and recreational activities. Transportation is provided if needed.

Infertility Support Group

This group, facilitated with area synagogues, provides support to women who are at any point in the reproductive process experiencing infertility, pregnancy loss, infant loss, or high-risk pregnancy.

New Beginnings

For widows or widowers who have already gone through the grieving process, this group offers the opportunity to meet new people, share experiences, and enjoy new activities. Monthly activities will get you out and back into life's many adventures. Dinners, theater trips, and cultural activities are just some of the events planned to get you going!

Sibshops for Siblings of Children with Special Needs

A program just for brothers and sisters of kids with special needs will be available several times a year. Geared to ages 8 - 12. Children will participate in activities and have opportunities to share their joys and their frustrations about having a sibling with developmental disabilities. $80 for four sessions.

Widows and Widowers

Women Facing Cancer (Free)

While every cancer diagnosis is individual, there are commonalities that exist. There is no need to face this challenge alone. Come laugh, cry, and share your stories with others facing similar challenges. You will gain support from others, as well as practical advice on how to cope with your disease. Yad b'Yad Breast Cancer Support Groups (Free)

These groups will pair newly diagnosed patients with breast cancer survivors who are at least 18 months post diagnosis for one-on-one conversations. Information, resources, educational workshops, and support groups will comfort and guide you through this challenging time.
