The Adoption Program of Jewish Family and Children's Service of Southern New Jersey guides individuals and couples through the challenging process of starting a family through adoption.
Samost JFCS provides:
- Initial free consultations
- Counseling and education
- Home studies
- Resource recommendations
- Birthparent services for identified adoptions
- Post placement in-home supervision provided by a social worker, as required by New Jersey and the child's place of birth
Post adoption support for birth and adoptive parents includes:
- Training seminars and educational workshops
- Mommy and Me Groups
- Adoptive family activities
- Counseling services
Many families are now adopting children from foreign countries and increased emphasis is provided on serving these children and their parents.
