For over 65 years, Samost Jewish Family & Children's Service (JFCS) of Southern New Jersey has been providing comprehensive, caring social services to South Jersey residents of all ages, faiths, and economic backgrounds - strengthening the individual, the family, and the community. From cradle to rocking chair, our critical services help our most vulnerable community members meet the challenges and overcome the obstacles that often arise during the course of daily living. JFCS services are available to residents of Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester Counties in Southern New Jersey.

Our licensed professionals assist clients at every stage of life with a wide range of issues that include separation and divorce, bereavement, depression, anxiety, and chronic mental illness. Support groups and community conferences offer coping strategies that help prevent smaller problems from becoming larger; and help individuals, couples, and families learn new and effective ways of dealing with the challenges and transitions in their lives.

JFCS offers two convenient locations with daytime and evening hours. To keep our services affordable to everyone, we accept most major insurances, offer a sliding fee scale fee based on income, and may have scholarships available for our support groups. No one is ever turned away because of financial hardship.

We turn no one away, regardless of their ability to pay.

JFCS now receives three times as many calls from the community than it did only a year or two ago, asking for help with basic necessities such as food, clothing, and rent.  But while demand for our services is growing and our expenses are rising, our sources of funding are dwindling!  Read more...
